Slam Dunk: ASI Launches Product Bracket Contest

The sports world goes tournament crazy in March, and the Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) is getting in on the action today as it launches the month-long ASI Promo Insanity bracket contest to crown the favorite promo product category.

“Everyone has a favorite product category they gravitate toward time and again, and now’s the time to get in the stands and root for your squad,” said ASI Media Editor-in-Chief C.J. Mittica. “T-Shirts vs. Lanyards, Hats vs. Journals, Pens vs. Food – the list, and the game (#ASIPromoInsanity), rages on. Which are you going to choose?”

Here’s how the ASI Promo Insanity contest works:

  • Each round’s voting goes live 9 a.m. ET Mondays and is open until 12 p.m. ET each Friday throughout March.
  • To vote, visit the contest web page, where 16 of the most popular promotional categories are in brackets, seeded based on the total number of searches in 2020 in ASI’s ESP® product search engine.
  • In each round, viewers vote for their favorite promo product category in each matchup, until one winner remains.

The contest also has a play-to-win component. Visit ASI’s social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn – to join in the discussion and champion favorite product categories. If you comment, tag another person or share with the #ASIPromoInsanity hashtag, you can win a $50 Amazon gift card (awarded weekly), with a $100 gift card given away in the finals.
