GSG, a consumable and equipment wholesale distributor for the apparel decorating, digital printing, electrical sign, and commercial sign markets, has named new personnel in Cincinnati, Dallas, and Austin.
Don Gecks has joined GSG as territory manager for the distributor’s Cincinnati location. The industry veteran has 37 years’ experience on the printing side and 15 years on the digital side. He has a bachelor’s of science degree in printing management from West Virginia Institute of Technology and an associate’s degree in printing communications from the Cincinnati Technical College. Former positions held with a variety of printing and sign companies include plant manager, vice president of operations, and he also owned his own sign and screen printing company. His primary responsibilities in the new position will be to grow digital sales in his territory, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
Chris Blake has been named receiving and inventory control manager at its Dallas branch. In this role, he oversees all aspects of receiving and stocking inventory with a focus on increasing inventory accuracy. He reports to Senior Operations Manager Tim Spigner. A 10-year industry veteran and GSG employee, Blake most recently was operations manager at the company’s Houston branch. He looks forward to putting his degree in management and finance from Texas Christian University to work as part of the Dallas team.
Justin Humble has joined GSG as sign territory manager. Based in the company’s Austin, Texas, branch, he is responsible for managing existing accounts and growing new ones. The position covers both graphic and electrical signage products. With 20 years of experience in manufacturing and installation, Humble looks forward to broadening his understanding of the materials side of the sign industry in his new role.
Mallory Henrichs has been appointed GSG’s apparel decorating product manager. Her new role involves overseeing product lines, resellers and customers in the apparel decorating area. Her five-plus years at GSG include a previous 3 ½ -year tenure as Tulsa branch manager and prior experience as a screen territory manager-outside sales. Henrichs has a B.S. from Texas Tech and an M.S. in engineering (industrial distribution) from Texas A&M.
