Roland DGA of Irvine, CA, has announced that parent company, Roland DG Corporation, has received OEKO-TEX Standard 100, product class I certification for its Texart SBL3 dye-sublimation inks. This Nissenken Quality Evaluation Center certification provides assurance that these inks, made for use with the company’s new Texart RT-640 dye-sublimation printer, are safe for inkjet printing on polyester fabric to create a wide variety of sublimated items, including products for babies and toddlers. Roland DGA Selects Regional Finalists to Compete in Global Service Engineer Awards Contest
Roland DGA of Irvine, CA, has selected 12 Service Engineers from the United States, Canada and Mexico to compete in the North American regional finals of Roland’s ongoing Global SE Awards Contest. In the North American regionals, which will take place June 9-10 at Roland DGA’s Irvine, California headquarters, the finalists will compete in a series of tests and events related to inkjet printer troubleshooting. This regional competition will narrow down the field to two service engineers who will move on to the October 2015 global finals hosted by parent company Roland DG in Hamamatsu, Japan. Roland DGA of Irvine, CA, has announced the Grand Prize winner of its month-long “With Roland” video contest, which gave North and South American Roland users the opportunity to win valuable prizes by sharing their success stories through creative five- to 60-second videos. Roland’s judging panel named Luis Soto, of T & S Ltda. in Punta Arenas, Chile, the Grand Prize winner, based on the enthusiasm, creativity and execution quality demonstrated in his video. Soto won a Roland product of his choice from a selection of 16 new Roland devices and decided upon a VersaUV® LEF-12 flatbed UV printer, valued at $19,995. NFL Draft Pick Names Heat Printed in Metallic Gold to Honor 50th Super Bowl Anniversary
For the fourth year in a row, a team of decoration experts from Stahls’ is heat printing behind the scenes at the NFL Draft, which takes place in Chicago from April 30-May 2. As players hold up a new personalized team jersey, it’s hot off a Hotronix® heat press. Player names are cut in advance, so that as soon as a pick is announced, it can be applied on the correct NFL jersey. In less than two minutes, the player is presented with the jersey on stage.
