“Social Entrepreneur with Nathan Webster,” a podcast that broadcasts every Monday at 1 am recently interviewed Ryan Moor, CEO, Ryonet of Vancouver, WA, concerning the launch of a new apparel line called Allmade. The apparel collection is an endeavor on the part of Ryonet and the The Global Orphan Project to provide jobs at a living wage in Haiti. Manufacturing is being set up to be more environmentally friendly than the norm, and one of the fabrics is a triblend fabric made of organic cotton, recycled plastic bottles, and Modal.
Webster talks to Moor about how the project got started, how he is promoting it and the impact it will have. To listen to the full podcast, go to http://nwebsterllc.com/allmade-ryan-moor/
To help get this project off the ground, Ryonet has organized a crowd-funding campaign through Indiegogo. The campaign’s launch date is March 6. The goal is to raise the capital needed to fund the initial sourcing of the fabric and getting it cut and sewn in Haiti.
