Poly-Pro Twill, offered by Dalco Athletics, is a premium appliqué material designed for creating professional mascots, lettering and numbers for baseball, basketball, football and hockey. At a 9-ounce per square yard
weight, it has a smooth, high-gloss tight weave that resists abrasion and an anti-fray coat to prevent unraveling.
It features multiple adhesive coatings, which lubricate the sewing needle, preventing skipped stitching and thread breakage. The adhesive retains a strong bond over temperatures ranging from 290 degrees F up to 330 degrees F. The twill is wash-fast and exhibits excellent consistency from dye lot to dye lot.
It comes with heat-seal adhesive or an uncoated version, which has no adhesive. A pressure-sensitive type comes with a heavy paper lining to enable it to be used in a vinyl cutter.
