Brother DTG Releases New Digital Line High-Volume Pretreatment Machine

A high-volume DTG printer works more efficiently when paired with a high-volume pretreatment machine. To this end, Brother DTG introduces Digital Line. This new all-in-one pretreating system allows you to control your labor costs while doing mass personalization.

Fully automated, this unit requires only a single operator to manage the entire pretreatment process for up to 220 garments per hour (based on a 60-second cure time and 5-second heat press). No special training or experience is necessary to run the machine.

At the scan of a barcode, change the pretreatment amount, spray area length and width, curing time and temperature, and heat press time and pressure on the fly. A single barcode controls all the variable settings for each print making it easy to output a wide range of jobs as one seamless stream.

The Digital Line features three components measuring a total of 92 inches wide by 271 inches long by 80 inches high. The first section, the Synergy Pretreating Unit, has nozzles in three widths that are used to spray a large area. Spray head replacement is quick and easy to minimize downtime.

The center section is the Firefly Conveyor Dryer. This has an ample 27-by-45-inch chamber constantly monitored by a thermal camera system. Instant temperature changes during operation ensure a full cure for a variety of garment types and fabrics.

Finally, the shirt passes through the Heat Press Unit. This has a full-size 16-by-20-inch heating element. The lower platen has pneumatic lift, and the upper platen has a rotating, nonstick surface.

An Ethernet port connection is provided for monitoring and remote support. When combined with GTXpro B printers, it allows any high-volume shop to set up an efficient production line to maximize turnaround and print quality.
