Red, Sight and Blue U.S. Flag Created With Nailheads

816Dalco Braille Flag closeupHere’s an unusual application for nailhead transfers. This U.S. flag has the Pledge of Allegiance added using black Permacad heat transfer cutter material. Then underneath, it is repeated in braille using silver nailheads.

The wording was created on a vinyl cutter, and the braille words were created as transfers on a clear carrier sheet and both were taped to the flag. It was then run through a dye sublimation heater that bonded the two materials to the flag.

This custom job was created by Dalco Athletic Lettering of Dallas, TX, for the Kansas Braille Transcription Institute, Wichita, Kan. Read more about the project at http://goo.gl/tczjML.
